Day luncheon

The boccie
playoffs were played over three days in March, with large crowds of
spectators and the championship crowns going to the teams of Charles and
Eileen Schlosser and Paul and Mary Boeggeman.
After the championship game, the players
had a hot dog bash around the pool thanks to JoAnn
Camino and her wonderful volunteers. Awards were given out at the
meeting on March 29.
Thanks to the Boccie Club
president, Lloyd Johnson, for adding the winners' names for the years
2003-06 to the plaque on display in the card room.
And, as always, thanks to the boccie
board and all the volunteers for their help during the past season.
Please be sure to sign up for next year. We hope you all have a great
summer and we will see you in the fall.
The last Boccie Club
meeting will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The new board for 2006-07 will be
on hand and an ice cream social is planned for members. The sign-up
sheet is at the front desk folder.
The Homeowners Association Mother's Day
luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 13 in the auditorium. The
menu includes tuna or chicken croissant, salad, fruit bowl, cake,
coffee, tea or lemonade.
Mothers eat free; the cost for others is
$4 each. Pick up your tickets in the card room from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
today and May 1 and 2. Although they eat free, mothers need to pick up
tickets. The breakfast is open to village residents only.
Line dance classes are finished for the
season. Marie, the instructor, will see you again in October.
Do you have suggestions for hurricane
preparedness, survival or return to the park? If so, drop them off at
the desk, and they will be shared with residents via the village
bulletin.
Here's one to get you started: Small
boxes of milk — not powdered or canned, but real grade A milk in boxes
that don't need refrigeration — are now available in most stores.
Remember the free blood pressure and
blood sugar clinic will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday in the arts and
crafts room. The blood sugar test requires a 12-hour fast.
